Las Obras de Nuestra Madre de las Americas (The Works of Our Mother of the Americas) is a community and faith-based 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization devoted to strengthen the health, wellbeing and unity of the Latino family within Faith-Health partnerships and stop the cycle of suffering so that children instead can thrive in loving, safe and nurturing home environments within a supportive community.

We realize that the explosive growth of Latinos throughout the U.S. presents challenges to systems as resources are very limited and a severe shortage of bilingual bicultural professionals aggravate the abilities to meet their needs.

Within the context of faith-health partnerships, Las Obras is committed to building capacity with these systems (religious, educational, healthcare, and institutional) through training of the Latino laity so as to offer preventive and early intervention approaches that begins at the grassroots level and extends out to community-wide initiatives.

We see the role of the Latino laity as vital in serving as trusted bridges of hope and healing, transforming them into competent, holy and effective leaders in their communities and able to serve as trusted resources within a system of family care.
